WebApr 4, 2009 · Basically the coolant is not circulating through the engine because the lower radiator hose never warms and the upper radiator hose is always warm/hot depending on the temp of the engine. I r2 the thermostat and bled the system. For 3 months this seemed to correct the problem. However, I just had another overheating episode. WebOct 12, 2016 · 25 years of experience. A faulty hose can not create this symptom. If a radiator hose can be squeezed, it only means there isn’t pressure in the cooling system, but this can indicate a problem. Cooling systems are designed to hold pressure. This raises the boiling point of the coolant so it can run above 212 degrees Fahrenheit.

Upper radiator hose was pretty hot but the lower radiator hose was cold to touch. Once the coolant flow started it just spilled over from the expansion tank (again the cap was off). Could be other silicone particles are blocking the radiator (cant be sure until I drain the whole thing).
